High School: Ran for Gilbert high school in Gilbert, Iowa... A four-year state qualifier on the track and field team... Ran a personal best of 11:08 in the 3000m... In cross country, won the team conference championship, finished as the district runner-up, and placed seventh at state... Named team captain and has a personal best of 21:24.

Personal: Daughter of Ellen and Jamie Pollard... Involved in student council, backpack buddies, junior rotarian club, FCA, and Gilbert mentoring... Volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club and was a small group leader at church... Majoring in Child Life.

Why Edgewood College?: "It's perfect because it's a small school with small class sizes, but it's nice being in the heart of Madison. They also have a great Child Life program!"
