Kevin Winter

Kevin Winter finished his accomplished career as an Eagles defender in 2004 and has assisted both the Edgewood College men’s and women’s programs ever since. Winter holds a USSF National “D” License and a Professional Development Certificate.

 

In addition to being a featured coach at numerous soccer camps around the state, Winter has six years of club coaching experience with the Yahara Soccer Club/MYSC, which provides training to advanced youth soccer players from the greater Madison area and state of Wisconsin.

 

Winter was a twice a team captain of the Edgewood College men’s soccer team under head coach Tim Alexander, and three-time Eagle Award recipient, which is given to the student-athlete who best demonstrates the College’s Domincan values and leadership.

 

In 2004, Winter helped lead the Eagles back to the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championships for the first time in five years – the team would also make a repeat showing in the national tournament in 2005 with Winter as an assistant coach. Doubling as an assistant coach with the women’s team in the same season, Edgewood College went 8-0 in the former Lake Michigan Conference and was LMC regular season champions.

 

Winter was an all-conference performer in 2003 and a repeat member of the league’s Scholar Athlete team.
