Katie Connelly

After serving as the Edgewood College assistant women’s golf coach for the previous year and a half, the Eagles are proud to have Katie Connelly take over the program as head coach.

In the 2011-12 season as an assistant with Edgewood College, both Connelly and men’s golf head coach Gary Oftedahl led the Eagles to a Northern Athletics Conference championship.

Connelly played four professional seasons on the Duarmed Futures Golf Tour in Florida from 2004-2007. She made it to the finals of LPGA Qualifying School and was requested to pay in multiple pro-ams.

Prior to coaching at Edgewood College, Connelly was a collegiate golfer at the University of Wisconsin. She graduated in 2003 with a scoring average of 77.79 which ranked second in school history at the time. Connelly won the 2003 NCAA Central Regional individual medalist honors which helped the Badgers make their first ever NCAA National Championship appearance. She was a three-time Academic Big-Ten winner and an All-Big Ten selection in 2003.

Besides coaching the Eagles, Connelly works at Cherokee Country Club in Madison where she has been handling membership services since 2011.
