2018-19: Averaged 9.0 minutes over 19 appearances, averaging 5.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game...Shot 50 percent from the floor...Poured in a career-best 31 points on 15-of-20 shooting in a 78-62 win over Aurora (January 10)...Scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds in just seven minutes against North Central (Minnesota) on January 3....Pulled down a season-best 11 rebounds in a win at Lakeland (January 24)...Scored 14 points on 7-of-7 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds in a win at Marian (January 16).Â
2017-18: Averaged 14.5 minutes over 18 appearances and averaged 6.7 points and 5.4 rebounds on 45.4 percent shooting... Posted averages of 3.7 point and 2.7 rebounds over first 11 games, but averaged 11.4 points and 9.6 rebounds over last seven games, included three double-doubles and a 16-point, 20-rebound game in 22 minutes against Concordia Chicago (February 14, 2018)... Carpenter was the first Eagle with 20 or more rebounds since Nickie Updike in December 2005, it the fourth-highest single game rebound total in Eagle history, and trailed the all-time record of 22 rebounds... Posted a career-high 20 points on 9-for-17 shooting to go with 13 rebounds in loss to Dominican, started a streak of three straight double-doubles... Averaged a season-best 17.5 points and nine rebounds against Dominican, the best averages against any NACC team.
High School: Played under head coach Dave Power at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Ill... Was team captain, All-Conference selection, and nominated for Lawless award as a senior for a team that went 21-10 and won the regional championship... Averaged 8.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 0.6 assists as a senior and shot 48.7% from the floor... Played for coach Tim Kohn for the AAU basketball team, Lady Lightning... Played two seasons of varsity soccer and won the regional championship in the 2015-16 season and was nominated for the Lawless award.
Personal: Parents are Maureen and David Carpenter... Volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House, Dan Gibbons Turkey trot, and delivered toys to less fortunate kids on Christmas Eve with basketball team... In seventh grade I went to England for two weeks with my sister, mom, and grandmother to visit my relative that live there, I pick up sports easily and I love all sports, and I've done basketball,soccer,volleyball,track and field, and water polo...
I love animals and have two dogs... Majoring in computer science.
Why Edgewood College?: "I chose Edgewood because of the community. It feels like home to me when I'm there. The people are all nice. Also, it is in Madison and I love Madison, I could picture myself there for the next four years of my life."
