Mackenzie Reese joins the Edgewood College women's basketball program for the start of the 2015-16 season. Before joing the Eagles, Reese played Division II basketball at the University of South Carolina-Aiken. During her four-year career with the Pacers, Reese was a two-time MVP and became just the 11th player in school history to reach 1,000 points. She finished her collegiate career in the top-10 in school history in rebounds, assists, minutes and games played. Reese was a member of the 2015 Peach Belt Conference All-Tournament team and was also named Second Team All-Conference.
Reese is a native of Madison, Wis., and was a three-sport standout in volleyball, basketball and soccer. She coached AAU basketball for the Aiken Elite girls basketball team and was a JV and varsity assistant coach for Mead Hall Episcopal School in Aiken, S.C.
During her time at Edgewood College, Reese will be pursuing her master's in Education with a concentration in Professional Studies.
