Tovella is in her first year of coaching for Edgewood College after joining the staff in August 2013. Before joining the Eagles, Tovella played four years of basketball at Barton College, a Division II school in North Carolina. During her four years at Barton, Tovella helped the Bulldogs to a combined record of 90-28 while contributing to three NCAA appearances. While at Barton, Tovella also ran four years of cross country and track and field, being named Runner of the Year in 2010. 

In her home state of Illinois, Tovella ran multiple summer basketball camps for all ages, spending time at Bartlett High School, Central High School, and Judson University. Since 2009, Tovella has also worked with the U.S. Junior Nationals Tournaments.

During her time at Edgewood College, Tovella will be pursuing her Masters of Educational Leadership with an emphasis in athletic administration.
