Biography

2008: Played in four games, scoring one run and collecting one RBI in four official at-bats... Scored a run as a pinch runner on April 21 against Dominican.

High School: Attended Memorial High School in Beloit, Wis... Played softball and volleyball for the Purple Knights, earning three letters (two softball, one volleyball)... Helped Beloit Memorial to regional championships in 2006 and 2007... Won the Vikki Noss Award her junior year on the softball team.

Personal: Parents are Charles Melvin and Almira Tiedke... Born March 6, 1989... majoring in Psychology with a minor in political science and sociology... brother Sean played rugby at UW-Parkside... dad Charles Melvin played rugby for Wisconsin.
