Career Statistics
2009: A first team All-NAC selection at first base for the second straight season... Started all 33 games she appeared in... Wrapped up her decorated Eagle career with a .389 batting average (3rd on the team), eight home runs, 32 RBI, 13 doubles, 32 runs scored, a .487 on base percentage and an impressive .842 slugging percentage... Will go down as Edgewood College's all-time leader in home runs and doubles and finishes with a .392 career batting average (5th all-time)... Led team in stolen bases for the first time in her career with 10 (only 4 SB in her previous three seasons)... On the last day of the regular season she hit for the cycle for the first time in her career, going single, double, home run and triple in a 4-for-4 effort with a walk in a 17-3 rout of Concordia Chicago on April 28.
2008: Named first team All-Northern Athletics Conference at first base playing in 35 of the team's 37 games... Had a team-high 32 RBIs with nine home runs, second most within the conference... Kurt had two multiple home run games this season...Led the team with 17 extra-base hits and a team-best .738 slugging percentage... Defensively, had a team-high 214 putouts.
2007: Named Honorable Mention All-Northern Athletics Conference... Played in all 42 games for the Eagles, starting in 41 of them... Had the third best batting average on the team, batting .392 in 130 at-bats... Had a team high 17 doubles, three triples and a team high seven home runs... Defensively had a .986 fielding percentage with a team high 278 putouts.
2006: Named LMC Rookie of the Year ... also was on the LMC All-Rookie Team and received Honorable Mention for the LMC All-Conference Team … had the team-high batting average (.400), slugging percentage (.635), on base percentage (.420), and fielding percentage (.994).
High School: Kurt received 3 varsity letters in softball at Lodi High School and was voted 3-time All-Conference (South Central), 2-time all-District, as well as WFSCA D2 All-Star … she joined her team in winning 2 conference championships, 1 regional championship, and 1 league championship … she graduated with distinction and was a teacher’s aide, yearbook photographer, and member of FFA
Personal: Born Nov. 13, 1986 … daughter of Keith and Karen Kurt ... Major is history with a minor in philosophy... Serves as the Edgewood College student government president... Volunteers as a firefighter in her hometown of Dane... Cousin Danielle Acker played on the Edgewood College softball team.
