Career Statistics

2012: Finished third on the team with a .306 batting average, going 33-for-108... Recorded 10 multiple hit games, including a career-high 4-for-4 day with four runs scored in the Eagles' 8-4 win over Division II McKendree University on March 14... Finished second on the team with two home runs... Her first home run of the season put the Eagles ahead 2-0 in their 10-8 win University of Dubuque on March 15... Blasted her second home run agaimst Marian University on April 26... Her six doubles ranked third on the team... Played in 142 career games, making 139 starts to rank ninth and eighth in shcool history, respectively... Her 460 career at bats ranks sixth in Edgewood College history while her 102 runs scored is ninth... At the end of her career, ranked eighth in school history with 145 hits and fourth with 27 doubles... Threw out 19 runners from her catcher position, ranking third in school history... Ended her career on a three-game hitting streak... Matched her career-high with 13 runs batted in... Went 4-for-5 in stolen base attempts... Recorded 81 put outs and 12 assists while only making one error all season.

2011: Was selected All-Northern Athletics Conference honorable mention... Finished second on the team with a batting average of .344 after starting all 36 games in which she appeared... Recorded the longest hitting streak of her career, 14 games, which lasted from March 18 to April 29... Recorded three hits a game five times and ranked second on the team with nine multi-hit games...  Drove in all three runs in the Eagles' 3-0 win over Hamilton College on March 19 as she scored two with a double and hit her first career outside the park home run... Hit another home run in the Eagles' 6-3 at Marian University on April 27... Went 3-for-3 with two runs scored in the Eagles' second to last game of the season at Concordia University Chicago... Finished second on the team with 42 hits and 20 runs scored while being tied for second with 13 runs batted in... Was successful on 7-of-10 stolen base attempts... Split time between second base and catcher and threw out 13-of-39 base stealers... Tied for the team lead with eight doubles.

2010: Started 35 of the 36 games in which she appeared... Had her best game of the season in the Eagles' 18-16 loss to Marian University in 12 innings on March 27 as she went 5-for-6 with two runs batted in and four runs scored... Led the team in stolen bases with 11 and was only caught stealing one time all season... Tallied a team-high 14 walks... NAC Scholar-Athlete.

2009: Earned NAC All-Freshman Team honors in her first season as an Eagle... Hit .321 with seven doubles, a home run and 11 RBI in 36 games (35 starts) from primarily the No. 2 spot in the order... Went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and hit her only home run of the season in a 22-0 rout of Mount Mary College in a spring game down in Tucson, Ariz... Was second on the team in multi-hit games with 12.

High School:  Lettered four years in softball and was a three-time second team all-conference selection... Three-year starter and letterwinner for the Purgolders at outside hitter... Named honorable mention all-conference in 2007... Received academic honors all four years.

Personal: Parents are Rick and Kathy Monson... Graduated in December with a degree in Sociology with a concentration in Human Services.
