Former Eagle Rachel DeJongh is entering her fifth season as the Edgewood College Softball pitching coach in 2022.
 
DeJongh played for the Eagles from 2013-16 where she threw 457 innings over her four years, the fourth most in program history. She amassed 305 strikeouts, second most among Eagles pitchers, and 30 wins, seventh most. DeJongh could always be counted on for a complete game in her time with the Eagles, as she went the distance 41 times, a number that ranks second for Edgewood College.

In 2018, she decided to return to Edgewood College in a coaching role and has worked with the pitchers since that time. She also brings seven years of experience in coaching club programs in the area.
 
The Madison native graduated from Edgewood College with a degree in Mathematics Teaching and is currently employed at Madison East High School.
