Coach Kelly Keyes joined Edgewood College's staff prior to the 2013 season after coaching Verona Area High School Softball for 13 years. Keyes is a fundamental skills coach and contributed to Verona's long-term success. 

In 2005, Keyes founded the Verona Area Girls Softball Association to provide recreational and competitive softball for all girls ages K-18. She is also the Program Director of Verona's successful Instructional Softball Program. Keyes has coached competitive softball teams for over 17 years. 

Keyes attended Southern Illinois University and played centerfield for the Salukis. She received All-Conference and All-Region awards during her tenure at SIU. Keyes transferred to Southeast Missouri State University and finished her softball career playing centerfield in two NCAA Championships, ranking fourth and third nationally while earning All-Conference and All-Region awards for the Redhawks.

Kelly is married with four children and resides in Verona.
