Ashley Coningsby begins her first season as assistant softball coach. She is a native of West Des Moines, Iowa where she attended Valley High School and won a state championship during her senior season playing center field for the Tigers. She also participated in track, volleyball and was a member on the dance team.

Coningsby received a scholarship to play softball at Augustana College, a Division II school in South Dakota where she played center and left field. She graduated with a degree in education and taught math to at-risk 7th and 8th graders in her first year of professional teaching.

Outside of playing and coaching softball, Coningsby enjoys watching movies, playing any and all kinds of sports, singing, dancing, and going out to dinner with her fiance and assistant baseball coach, Matt Eichorn.
