Oppermann, an Iowa native, joined the Edgewood College coaching staff in 2014.  Prior to coming to Edgewood College, Oppermann coached high school softball in several capacities, including as head coach at Middleton High School. With over a decade of experience as a pitching instructor, she continues working with club teams and pitchers all over the Madison area in both private and group settings. Over the years she has helped develop many athletes into successful high school and college softball players. 

Oppermann was a starting pitcher at two eastern Iowa colleges, Kirkwood Community College and Luther College.
