Allie Taylor

Allie Taylor was named the next Softball coach for the Eagles on Thursday August 1, 2019. Taylor's first season as the Eagles coach lasted just six games as the season was canceled in mid-March due to COVID-19. She completed her first full season in 2021 as she continues to build the program back up.

In 2024, Taylor led the Eagles to their first NACC Tournament appearance since 2015. The Eagles continued to grow under her leadership, earning key wins over teams ranked higher in conference standings. In addition, the Eagles posted their first win over Concordia Wisconsin in Taylor's time and since 2016. Taylor coached two all-conference players in 2024, including three-time First Team All-NACC player Olivia Hebert to the first All-Region honors in program history. Taylor's teams continued to shine academically, with five players being named to the CSC Academic All-District team that honors student-athletes for both their play on the field and high achievements in the classroom.

Taylor led the Eagles to their first winning season since 2009, recording a 20-19 record during the 2023 season. The Eagles continued to show development, showing improvement against regional and non-conference foes. In 2023, Taylor coach Olivia Hebert to her second-straight First Team All-NACC honor.

During the 2022 season, Taylor led the Eagles to a 20-20 record, the best since the 2009 season. The 2022 Eagles more than doubled their wins from the 2021 season and earned 13 NACC wins, the most since the 2009 season. Taylor coached two players to All-NACC accolades in Olivia Hebert and Tatum Duff. Hebert was named First Team All-NACC, while Duff secured Second Team recognition. Six players in the starting lineup hit over .300 and posted an OPS of above .800 under Taylor's leadership. The Eagles also posted a team batting average of .319, eighth best in program history, a .427 slugging percentage, tied for fifth best in program history, and 349 hits, fourth most in a season.

In the 2021 season, Taylor coached two players to All-NACC accolades in Hanna Fisher and Haylee Kasuboski. Fisher was named First Team All-NACC South, while Kasuboski secured Honorable Mention recognition. Both players hit over .350 and posted an OPS of above .900 under Taylor's leadership.

The Eagles young team showed signs of improvement in 2020, which included Taylor's first career win - a 3-0 victory over Crown College on March 6. Taylor's team started several underclassmen, including Haylee Kasuboski. The freshman hit .588 in six games during her rookie season, roping four doubles and scoring five runs.

Taylor has also made an impact in the recruiting world, bringing in a talented class in her first full year recruiting future Eagles.

Taylor came to Edgewood College after one season as the Head Coach at Lodi High School. She spent the prior season as an Assistant Coach at Madison College where she helped lead the program to a top six finish at the NJCAA Nationals. During her season at Madison College she coached eight players who went on to play at either the NCAA Division I, Division III, or the NAIA level.

During her time with the Wolfpack, she also coached several players who earned individual accolades in the spring of 2018. Madison College had a First Team NJCAA Division II All-American Pitcher, while also having several First Team All-Region and All-Conference honorees.

In addition to her stints with Lodi and Madison College, Taylor has coached at Waunakee High School, with the Greg Reinhard Baseball Academy, and youth programs in Waunakee.

Taylor was a standout player at UW-Green Bay where she played for four seasons (2014-17), where she holds the school record for career home runs. Taylor helped lead the Phoenix to a 2014 Horizon League regular season and tournament championship, helping the program reach the NCAA Tournament for just the second time in school history.

In addition to being the school's home run leader, Taylor ranks in the top 10 in nearly every single season and career hitting category. She was a 2017 Second Team All-Horizon League member, while also making the All-Academic team her senior season. In 2014, Taylor was chosen to the Horizon League All Rookie Team as well. She also earned All-Conference Scholar-Athlete honors all four years.

Taylor grew up in Waunakee and played for nearby Waunakee High School. She has spent her entire career as a player or coach in Wisconsin, much of that in the Madison area. She graduated from UW-Green Bay in 2017 with degrees in Spanish & Latin American Studies, Education, History, and Coaching. Taylor graduated from Edgewood College in December of 2021 with a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership and Change.
