Kevin Friend was hired in July of 2022 as the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Edgewood College. Since his hiring, Friend has continued to build on the Eagles winning ways. 

Friend led the Eagles women's tennis program to back-to-back NACC Tournament Finals in 2023 and 2024. He is also credited with the re-growth of the Eagles men's tennis program, beginning in 2022-23. 

Friend has coached several All-NACC honorees during his first season. Cecile Fuchs, Ellie Murphy, Maddy Coopmans, and Jewel Lindwall earned All-NACC doubles and singles honors during the 2022-23 season. 

Friend comes to Edgewood College after spending seven seasons as the head boys' and girls' varsity tennis coach at Oconomowoc High School. For the past five years, Friend has also been a teaching professional at the Wisconsin Athletic Club Lake Country. Since 2012 Friend has been involved in the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Tennis Camp, running any and all of the six ability level groups.

Friend has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from UW-Whitewater.
