Ben Oestreich took over as the Edgewood College women’s tennis coach in 2009, one year after Eagles secured their first NCAA Tournament berth. Oestreich has continued that success and in leading the Eagles to an NCAA Tournament berth in five out of his eight years as head coach to go with six NACC titles in his first eight seasons. The Portage, Wis. native is a three-time NACC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year (2014-15, 2012-13, 2011-12) and is the all-time winningest coach in school history with a career mark of 127-99 overall and a 79-5 conference record through the 2016-17 season.

Oestreich has coached 22 All-NACC singles, 14 All-NACC doubles teams, two NACC Players of the Year, and three NACC Freshman of the Year selections since the conclusion of the 2016-17 season.

Oestreich has also been the head men's coach since the program was reinstated for the 2010-11 season. He guided the team to back-to-back-to-back NACC regular season and tournament championships and a pair of NCAA Tournament berths from 2014 to 2016 seasons. Across the three championship seasons, the Eagles were a combined 23-1 during NACC play and finished top-5 in the NACC regular season standings for the seventh-straight season. Under Oestreich, the Eagles have advanced to the NACC Tournament semifinals in every year but one. 

Since the conclusion of the 2016-17 season, Oestreich has coached 17 All-NACC singles selections, nine All-NACC doubles teams, one Freshman of the Year, one NACC Player of the Year, and has been named NACC Coach of the Year four times.

Oestreich (pronounced “A-strike”) spent two seasons as the men’s and women’s tennis coach at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa from 2007-09. With the Knights, Oestreich guided both the men’s and women’s teams to two consecutive Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament berths. The women’s team broke the school record for victories in a season with 12 in 2007-08, while the men’s team racked up 15 dual match wins in 2008-09 to tie their all-time school record.

Prior to leading the Knights, Oestreich was the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at NACC rival Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wis. Oestreich, a Lakeland alma mater, coached consecutive Rookie of the Year winners and a No. 1 singles champion. He also assisted the Muskie women’s basketball team for four seasons, helping them to two conference titles and two NCAA tournament appearances.
