I have been involved in soccer all my life in one form or another. I started playing at the age of 10 when my family moved to Dublin (Ireland) from Havana, Cuba. Prior to moving to Ireland I had never played soccer, however I immediately fell in love with the game. I like to say that I put down the baseball bat/glove and started kicking a soccer ball around.

I played all six years of school level soccer at local middle/high school in Dublin, made the Leinster Cup final twice, once coming out winners. Apart from playing school soccer I also played for the local club. While I was playing, we had some very good years, going on deep runs of the league cup and finishing top-5 in the league.

I am delighted to be part of the Edgewood College program. After spending a few weeks with the players and coaching staff this past spring I have come to realize how much of a close knit community the soccer program is, and the respect both players and coaches have towards one another. I am really looking forward to the season and cannot wait to get going.
