2015: Competed in every race on the season... Posted first sub-30 minute time in an 8,000-meter race in his final collegiate race with a 28:37.7 at the NCAA Midwest Regional... Midwest Regional time was over two minutes faster than his previous personal record... Ran a 31:49.8 in the first 8k of the season and ran under 31 minutes in every subsequent race on the year... Took 48th at the Wisconsin Private Colleges meet after crossing in 30:52.3.
2014: Turned in a time of 24:25 at the UW Badger Opener... Ran to a 90th-place finish at the Warhawk Invitational with a time of 32:23.5... Finished 95th with a time of 32:36.3 at the NACC Championships... Ran a season-best 31:39.2 at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional... NACC Scholar-Athlete.
2013: Ran a time of 26:41 over 6,000 meters at the UW Badger Opener... Recorded a career best 8,000 meters time of 31:04.40 at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships on November 16... Placed 70th overall at the NACC Championships with a then personal record time of 31:30.78 on November 2.
2012: Did not participate.
2011: Started his career by running 26:20.9 at the 6,000 meter distance at the UW Cross Country Classic... Turned in his best two 8,000 meter performances in the last two races... Ran 31:53.0 at the Northern Athletics Conference Championships in Kenosh to set a career-best... Topped that performance with at time of 31:36.1 at the NCAA Midwest Regional in Rock Island, Ill. on November 12.
High School: Was named second team All-Trailways North Conference in 2010... Advanced to the sectional meet in during his junior and senior seasons... Earned three letters in cross country at Markesan High School... Named Most Improved Runner... Also participated in track, earning two letters... Helped the 4x800 relay ream reach the sectional meet.
Personal: Parents are Dean and Stephanie Abendroth... Major is Nursing with Minor in Psychology.
