Shawn Healy joined the Edgewood College staff in 2011 after relocating to Madison. Healy comes to the Eagles from St. Francis High School in Wheaton, Illinois where he was the head varsity boys basketball coach since the 2006-07 season. Healy was also a freshman coach and a varsity assistant coach for four years before being promoted to the top spot.
At St. Francis, Healy won two Suburban Christian Conference titles in 2006-07 and 2009-10. The Spartans won the IHSA Class 3A Regional Championship and reached the 3A Sectional Final in 2008. He was named the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association District 7 Coach of the Year in 2008.
Healy graduated from DePaul University in Chicago, Ill. in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He minored in Marketing.
Shawn’s wife Yvette is the head softball coach at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and they have one daughter, Grace.
