Mike McMahon joined the Edgewood College men's basketball staff in the fall of 2009. Since 2002 he had worked at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass. as a teacher and an assistant coach for the boys' basketball team.
While McMahon was at Notre Dame Prep he served for one of the top high school basketball programs in the country. The Crusaders were named National Champions in 2006 and 2007 by HoopsUSA and have acheived a top seven ranking in the country in each of the last six seasons. McMahon worked with many future NCAA Division I and professional athletes including Lazar Hayward (Marquette University) and Michael Beasley (Kansas State University, Miami Heat).
McMahon, a native of Brookfield, graduated from Marquette University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
