Mike Gard joined the Edgewood College men's basketball staff for the 2009-10 season. He had spent the previous two years working as an administrative assistant for the University of Wisconsin Men's Basketball program under head coach Bo Ryan.
Gard earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Wisconsin in 2007. While attending UW, Gard spent five years as a manager for the Badger men's basketball program including two years as the team's head manager. He also has extensive experience with the University of Wisconsin boys' basketball camps.
Mike's sister Denise Heuser (formerly Gard) is an Edgewood College softball team alumnae. His cousin Jeff is the head men's basketball coach at UW-Platteville and another cousin Greg is an assistant coach for the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team.
