2009: Started all 24 of the games he played in at catcher... Had two hits in seven different games... Threw out nine of 34 base stealers (26.5 percent) and committed just two errors all season... Went 2-for-3 with two runs batted in against Greenville College on March 20... Had a single and a double in a victory over Concordia Wisconsin on April 4... Picked up two hits and two runs batted in on April 24 against Concordia Chicago... 2008: Finished second on the team in hitting with a .382 batting average... Started 32 of his 33 games played... Had a team-high 17-game hitting streak from March 15 to April 27... Recorded second four-hit game of his career with a 4-for-5 performance against Maranatha Baptist on April 7... Went 2-for-4 with a home run and four runs batted in in victory over NAC co-champion Benedictine on May 4... Named Edgewood College baseball athlete of the week for April 7-13, for batting .600 (9-for-15) with three doubles in four games... Led all hitters in the NAC with a .552 batting average against left-handed pitching.

2007: Played and started in 38 of the teams 39 games... Had a .214 batting average in 131 at-bats... Led the team in home runs with three...Had four doubles and 16 RBIs...Defensively had a .964 fielding percentage with 204 put-outs.

2006: Appeared in 9 games, including four starts … batted .429 in 14 at bats and obtained 4 RBIs.

High School: 2005 letterwinner for Colorado state runners up Cherry Creek High School under head coach Marc Johnson.

Personal: Serves as an Edgewood College Ambassador assisting the college’s admissions office with recruiting efforts at his former high school and surrounding Centennial (Colo.) area … born June 25, 1987 … son of Steve and Patti Werner.
