After playing for the Eagles four seasons (2011-14), Coach O'Dell returns for his seventh season on the Eagles coaching staff and fifth as the Eagles recruiting coordinator.  Along with recruiting tasks, Coach O’Dell will serve as the Eagles hitting coach, while also working with infielders for the upcoming 2022 season.  

During his playing career, O’Dell set the career record for games played (154), and as of 2018 is in the top-10 of nine all-time offensive categories.  His honors include the Eagles Most Valuable Hitter award and the prestigious Eagle Award.  He was also a member of the NACC All-Freshmen team.  Respected by his teammates and coaches as a student of the game and great teammate, it is natural that Ryan is now on the Eagle Baseball staff. 

Coach O'Dell has coaching experience includes the high school and club baseball levels, for his alma mater, St. Charles East (St. Charles, Ill.). In addition, he has worked a number of youth camps in Illinois and Wisconsin.

O’Dell graduated with a BA in Broad-field Social Studies teaching Secondary Education (‘15) and a MA in Educational Leadership (’17).  Originally from the Chicago Suburbs, Coach O’Dell currently resides in the Madison area with his wife, Kristina.
