Assistant coach Ryan Mielke enters his third year with the Eagles. Mielke will work with the Edgewood College infielders and serve as the program's recruiting coordinator.

A graduate of UW-Stevens Point, Mielke was on the 2009 Pointer team that won the WIAC Conference Championship. He was a double major with degrees in Psychology and Social Sciences. 

Mielke spends his summers as the head coach of the Madison Impact Legion baseball team. They have complied an overall record of 95-45 dating back with the start of his tenue. He has served as the head coach since 2013.  In 2015, the Impact won the AAA State Tournament and finished 2 games away from the American Legion World Series.  Prior, he served as an assistant coach from 2011-12. In 2012, the Madison Impact won the AAA State Tournament in Appleton, Wisconsin and took sixth place in the National Great Lakes Regional Tournament. Mielke served as both the bench and infield coach in addition to being in charge of defensive positioning.

Mielke has also works numerous camps in the area and enjoys instructing young players. His return to the Madison area was natural as he is a graduate of Waunakee High School and two-time All-Badger North and All-District award winner. Mielke also earned all-state honors as a Warrior.

He currently resides in the Madison area and received his Master’s degree in Organizational Development in January of 2016.
