Brodie Engel is set for his third season as an assistant coach with the Edgewood College Baseball program in 2020. The former Eagle player has worked with the infielders primarily in his coaching role with his alma mater.

In 2019, the Eagles infield saw great success under Engel’s guidance. Engel helped guide a group that primarily featured three newcomers in Max Orput, Joseph Kalafut, and Kyle Semrad in addition to returner Ryan Fields. Kalafut posted a .970 fielding percentage, while all four players hit about .276 last season.

Engel played for the Eagles from 2014-2017, appearing in 106 games and making 85 starts during that time. He posted a .971 fielding percentage during his senior year. Engel played second base, shortstop, and third base during his time with the Eagles.

In addition to coaching the Eagles, Engel has worked youth camps for the Brewers Youth Academy, while also spending the past few years coaching travel ball for the Silver Sluggers in Madison.

Engel graduated from Edgewood College in 2017 with a degree in Education. He is currently working towards his master's degree for Educational Leadership.
