Biography

Career Statistics (through 2018 season)

2018: Started 28 of his 33 appearances... Hit .272/.385/.348 with one home run, four doubles, 11 RBIs, and 12 runs scored... Launched a grand slam, his third career home run, in win over Lakeland... Posted two RBIs and three runs scored on two hits in season finale against Beloit... Had six multi-hit games... NACC Scholar-Athlete.

2017: Started 27 of his 28 appearances, primarily at first base... Hit .253/.330/.264 with 13 runs, 22 hits, one double, and five RBI in 87 at-bats... Hit safely in nine of his last 10 games... Posted a season-high three hits in win against Maranatha Baptist on April 13... Added two hits with two runs and one RBI vs. Illinois Tech on April 22... Tied team lead after getting hit seven times and finished second with two sacrifice flies.

2016: Hit a career-high .303 after appearing in 27 games, 22 of which were starts... Finished fifth on the team in RBIs with 14... Turned in first multi-hit game of the season on March 18 against UW-Stout, going 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored... Went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, five RBIs and a pair of runs scored on April 16 against MSOE... Had three multi-hit games in a six-game span from April 17-May 1... Went 2-for-4 with three RBIs against UW-Platteville on May 4.

2015: Made 11 starts and played in 16 games after fighting through an early season injury... Crushed his first career home run in a 2-for-3 performance with a career-high four runs batted in against Concordia Wisconsin on April 27... Had a season-high five game hitting streak from April 8 to April 19... Posted his first career multi-hit game by going 2-for-3 with two runs batted in against Maranatha Baptist on April 16. 

High School: Led team to 27-6 record and first ever conference championship in school history... Team captain, First team academic all-state, second team all-conference, high honorable mention all-suburban team as a senior... Recipient of the Outstanding Hitter Award, Gold Glove Award and Duke Pride Award during senior season... Hit .455 with 31 RBI and 30 runs during senior season... Honorable mention all-conference during junior season.

Personal: Parents are Tony and Kristen Gavic... Has an older brother Austin... Major is Business Management with a minor in Computer Information Systems.
