2007: Started in all 39 games for the Eagles... Batted .270 in 137 at-bats driving in 33 RBIs, second best on the team... Hit eight doubles on the season and stole seven bases on seven attempts...Defensively had a .943 fielding percentage.

2006: Voted LMC Rookie of the Year as well as LMC All-Conference for second base ... started 40 of the 41 games he played ... batted .370 in 138 at bats.

High School: Career .326 hitter at Normal Community West (Ill.) High School … holds the single-season record for runs (50), plate appearances (160), and assists (76) … earned All-Big 12 honorable mention … participated in the Intercity Pantagraph all-star game … helped the Wildcats to regional and sectional championships in 2005 under head coach Chris Hawkins ... also played football for the Wildcats.

Personal: Alex serves as an Edgewood College Ambassador, assisting the college’s admissions office with recruiting efforts at his former high school and Bloomington-Normal (Ill.) area ... born April 22, 1987 ... majoring in Accounting/Business ... son of Ray and Karen Berta ...
