2011: Ran a personal best 2:07.98 in the 800 meter run at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on April 30... Finished second in the 10,000 meter run at teh Northern Athletics Conference Outdoor Championships on May 7 with a time of 33:35.52... Best 1,500 meter time of the season, 4:16.27, came at the Wisconsin Private College Championships... Placed fourth at the Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Championships in the 3,000 meter run... Also finished fourth at the NAC Indoor Championships in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:08.44... Had a season best mile time of 4:50.65 at the Rocky Rococo Invitational on January 22... 2010: Set Edgewood College record in the 10,000 meters at the Washington University Invitational with a time of 32:50.36... Placed second at the Northern Athletics Conference Outdoor Championships in a 10,000 meter time of 33:05.00... Also placed second in a time of 15:58.34 in the 5,000 meters at the NAC Indoor Championships... Had a fourth place finish in the 3,000 meters at the NAC Indoor Championships with a time of 9:19.03... NAC Scholar-Athlete.
2009: During the outdoor season, placed third in the 3,000 meter run at the NAC track championships and helped the distance medley relay team become the school's first-ever conference champion... Set a school record in the 5,000 meter run at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational with a time of 15:46.40 and later in the year placed fourth in the event at the NAC outdoor championships... Also at the NAC Championships, set a school record in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 32:58.40 and placed second to lead the Eagles to a sixth place team finish... NAC Scholar-Athlete.
2008: Garvey set numerous school records in his freshman year of track... He set the top time in the mile twice and finishing in his fastest time of 4:45.00 at the Northern Challenge; in the same meet, he was also part of the 4x400m relay team that set a school record... At the indoor NAC Championships, Garvey set two records; he re-set his own record in the 3,000m run with a time of 9:16.62 and finished 5th and also helped the DMR team to a 2nd place finish and school record... During the outdoor portion of the season, he set three separate records... Garvey ran 4:12.51 in the 1,500m run at the Wisconsin Twilight which bested his previous best time the week before at the NAC Championships when he placed 3rd... He also set records in the 5,000m run (16:01.41) and helped the 4x400 relay team to a 9th place finish and school record as well (3:49.67).
High School: Attended McFarland High School where he was a four time All-Badger Conference cross country selection (2003-06)... Holds the school record in the 4x800m relay... Placed sixth in State in the 4x800m relay... Helped the Spartans to a second place finish in State in cross country in 2003 and two third place finsihes in 2004 and 2005... Played guard on the varsity basketball team for two years, making it to the regional finals in 2007.
Personal: Parents are Bill and Michelle Garvey... Majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics... Helps out with the Wisconsin Triathalon and the Spartan Aquatic Center.
