VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood University cross country team opened their 2026 schedule on Friday at the Badger Classic. Following a four-hour weather delay, the race finally kicked off. The men's team competed in the 8K distance, while two women competed in the 6K race.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tyler Mueller led the Eagles in the 8K distance, coming across the finish line in 11th place with a time of 32:33.2.
- Ryan Casey and Kade Lubner competed for the first time as Eagles. Casey ran a 38:54.7 to finish 12th, while Lubner finished 13th with a time of 42:03.5.
- Isabella Pescador crossed the finish line first for the Eagles in the 6K distance. Pescador finished in 38:44.0 to finish 21st.
- Ellie Lill ran a 39:14.2 to finish 22nd overall.
THE RACE
- Host Wisconsin took home the win on the women's side, claiming the top five slots in the race. Northwestern finished second, claiming five top 10 finishes.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood University will compete at the Tom Hoffman Invitational on Saturday, September 19. The women's race is set to begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the men's race at 10:45 a.m. from Whitewater, Wis.
