MADISON, Wis. – Men's Volleyball wrapped up their 2026 home slate at the Todd Wehr Edgedome Tuesday night. They hosted the Marian Sabres for Senior Night action. The Eagles (9-12, 6-4 NACC) rode their defense and a strong service game to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-18) victory over the Sabres (6-15, 2-7).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing 8-5 early, Edgewood University roared to life on a 12-3 explosion, flipping the script and putting Marian firmly behind as they raced for a 25-18 victory.
- The Sabres got an early 6-4 jump on the Eagles in the second frame but once again Edgewood University replied in a big way. They grinded out a 11-3 stretch on the back of their defense to a 15-9 lead. Marian responded this time, a 7-2 rally cutting the Eagles advantage to 20-18. Three unanswered, featuring a pair of blocks, all but put the second set away for Edgewood University.
- In the third set the Eagles struck first with a 5-1 barrage, posting a 11-8 edge. The Sabres replied with four in a row to take back the lead, but a 9-3 answer from Edgewood University had them rolling ahead 20-15. A 5-1 run from the Eagles would claim the set and the sweep on Senior Night.
- Edgewood University's blocking game was on point with 15 on the evening as a team. They also had seven aces to the Sabres one.

Oakley Griggs paved the way on offense with 12 kills and three aces.
Bryce Wrobel fueled a strong attack with 30 assists.

Cade Schueller did a bit of everything with eight kills, 13 digs, and a pair of aces.

Ryder Hill-Zastrow and
Owen Voigt posted five and four blocks respectively.

Owen Hartjes shined at the net with nine blocks.
- Adrian Calderon-Castro posted a 13-kill, 12-dig double-double.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Senior Night match celebrated the careers of Wrobel, Hill-Zastrow, and Hartjes.
- Hartjes' nine blocks were a season best for the senior.
- Hill-Zastrow's five blocks were a personal best in 2026.
- Wrobel's 30 assists were a new high for this season and matched his personal best.
- The Eagles have won five-straight NACC matches.
