PENSACOLA, Fla. – Baseball continued Spring Break action at the Studer's Blue Wahoos Stadium Challenge Saturday. They took on the Trinity Bantams. The Bantams (5-1) took control in the middle innings in a 7-3 victory over the Eagles (5-3).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a quiet first two innings, Edgewood University struck first in the third.
Carter Kelley and
Kyle Prindle both hit sacrifice flies for a 2-0 lead.
- Trinity evened the game with one swing in the fourth, a two-run home run to right field. A pair of singles and a sacrifice fly in the fifth extended their lead to 5-2.
- A pair of sacrifice flies for the Bantams extended their lead to 7-2, though the Eagles would get one last run off of a Prindle outfield single in the bottom of the ninth.
- Andrew Park put together an impressive day for Trinity, hitting 3-for-3 with a triple and a home run. Aidan Stern added a double and a pair of stolen bases.
- Matthew Limongelli earned the victory, striking out four batters in 1.2 innings pitched.
- Prindle tallied a pair of RBIs and a walk.

Edgewood University will look to get back on track in a night game tomorrow. They'll take on Nebraska Wesleyan as action in Pensacola continues. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
