Muskies deal Eagles NACC setback

PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The Edgewood University women's basketball team traveled to Lakeland University on Wednesday evening for a conference battle. The Muskies handed the Eagles their first conference loss of the season via a 66-62 final score. Despite the loss, three Eagles scored in double-digits on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair. The Eagles went on an 8-0 run in the final two minutes, but it wasn't enough to counter the Muskies out of the break. Lakeland led 52-44 going into the final 10 minutes.

- A pair of three-point makes from both Taylor Wollin and Laci Lindsey sparked the Eagles midway through the fourth quarter. Wollin knocked down a three with 1:30 remaining to reduce the Muskies lead to just one point (63-62). Despite the strong shooting effort from the Eagles, the Muskies responded with a three-pointer of their own to solidify the 66-62 final.
