MADISON, WIS. – Men's Basketball returned home to the Todd Wehr Edgedome Saturday as NACC action continued. They battled with the Concordia Wisconsin Falcons in a tense affair. The Falcons (9-9, 7-4 NACC) outlasted the Eagles (2-14, 2-8) with a 77-74 final.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin controlled the first minutes, leading 18-12 at 12:35. Starting at 9:59, the Edgewood University offense roared to life as they grounded the Falcons on defense, a 15-6 burst wrapping up with the hosts in the lead 30-26 at 5:32. Concordia Wisconsin finished the first half strong, a 14-2 response sending them to the locker room up 40-32.
- While the Falcons led 51-40 with 15:25 left, the Eagles proved to be resilient. A 13-6 run pulled Edgewood University to a 60-60 draw at 8:40 with an
Avery Houden dunk providing an exclamation point. The teams would battle to a 71-71 tie at :55, but a key layup from Concordia Wisconsin and misses by the Edgewood University offense had the Falcons escaping the Edgedome with a one-score victory.
- While Concordia Wisconsin had a 34-to-12 advantage in points in the paint and a 17-to-0 edge in fast break points, the Eagles made the most of their depth with a 22-to-3 gap in bench points.
- The Falcons won the rebounding battle 47-to-38, while Edgewood University shot 14-of-34 (41.2 percent) from beyond the arc.
- Four Eagles scored in double figures.
Hunter Hardyman paced the group with 22 points, while Houden posted 19 off the bench with 5-of-6 shooting from three-point land.

Logan Steffensmeier tallied 14 points and eight rebounds.
Trent Tousana wrapped up the double-digit Edgewood University scorers with 11.
- Casey Verhagen led all scorers with 23 points. Logan Landers continued to be a force for Concordia Wisconsin with a 18-point, 15-rebound double-double.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Hardyman's 22 points and Houden's 19 points were both career bests.
- Hardyman has scored 20 or more points in back-to-back games.
- The Eagles are fourth in the NACC with a .343 three-point percentage as a squad.
- Edgewood University has posted double-digit made threes in six games this season.
