DE PERE, Wis. – Baseball wrapped up their regular season NACC slate Friday up north. They took on the St. Norbert Green Knights. The Eagles (19-19, 13-11 NACC) claimed game one with a 14-4 final, but the Green Knights (16-22, 10-14) won a 4-2 battle in game two.
GAME ONE: EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 14, ST. NORBERT 4 (SEVEN INNINGS)
- While a two-run home run in the first had the Green Knights off on the right footing, the Eagles would score 11 in the next three innings. Edgewood College kicked things off with a four-run second.
Terry Tolliver Jr. singled in a run, before the Eagles took advantage of a bases-loaded situation to plate three more.
- After a throwing error plated a run in the third, a two-run home run from
Hayden Hellenbrand kept the good times rolling.
Carson Richter punctuated the offensive explosive with a grand slam in the fourth.
- A two-RBI single from
Jacob Carney followed by a
Daniel Bentivegna single in the seventh helped seal the run-rule victory for the Eagles.
- Tolliver hit 3-for-3 with three runs and two walks. Carney recorded three RBIs

Ryan Mixey earned the victory, striking out five in five innings pitched.
GAME TWO: ST. NORBERT 4, EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 2
- Neither team would break through in a low scoring affair until the fourth inning, where a Green Knight grounder plated a run.
Colby Davis singled in a run in the fifth to even the tally.
- After St. Norbert reclaimed the lead with an RBI single in the sixth, a Carney sacrifice fly evened it in the top of the eighth. The Green Knights would take advantage of a bases loaded situation in the eighth to retake the lead with a pair of runs.
- Hellenbrand hit 2-for-4 with a triple and a run in the affair.
- Miles Friedman earned the victory for St. Norbert, while Kylo Barker claimed the save.

Aidan Williams struck out six Green Knight batters.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Mixey moved into eighth on the career record books for strikeouts. He now has 137 for his career, surpassing Andrew Handorf (2003-06)
