Edgewood College's season concludes in NACC Tournament

LISLE, ILL. – Men's Volleyball hit the road for the program's first-ever NACC Tournament game Tuesday. As the six seed, they took on the third-seeded Benedictine Eagles, receiving votes in the latest AVCA poll. Benedictine (16-9) controlled the match, eliminating Edgewood College (9-12) with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-18) sweep.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Five unanswered early in the first set had Benedictine flying ahead 8-3. Edgewood College had no answers as Benedictine built up to an 11-point lead as they claimed a 1-0 match lead.
 
- The second set started similarly, with Benedictine ahead 8-3 once again. The hosts would build up to an 18-9 edge. Edgewood College would cut the edge down to five late, but Benedictine pushed ahead to a 2-0 advantage.
 
- While Benedictine started hot in the third set with a 5-1 gap, Edgewood College trimmed the deficit down to 8-6. Edgewood College would keep on Benedictine's heels but were unable to overtake the hosts as Benedictine advanced to the NACC Tournament Semifinal.
 
- Benedictine outhit Edgewood College .255-to-.068.
 
- Carsyn Stringfellow paced Edgewood College with nine kills. Will Gehrke fueled the Edgewood College offense with 24 assists and contributed on defense with three blocks.
 
- Jack Mullane played well at libero with 14 digs.
 
- Chris Radomski swung for a match-high 13 kills with 11 digs for a double-double. He hit .345 on 29 attempts.
 
- Jordan Cardenas paced both teams with 12 digs. Eoin O'Toole anchored the defense at the net with five blocks.
 
UP NEXT
Edgewood College concluded their 2025 season with the loss. The program set a new high watermark, their nine wins and six conference victories new bests. They reached their first-ever NACC Tournament and took down multiple conference foes for the first time, including Illinois Tech and Concordia Wisconsin.
