LISLE, ILL. – Men's Volleyball returned to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action Saturday. They faced off with the Benedictine Eagles in a road tilt. Benedictine (7-6, 2-0 NACC) put together a commanding 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-13) victory over Edgewood College (3-8, 0-2).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Benedictine rolled ahead 9-3 early as they set the tone for the match. A late 6-1 rally would push their advantage to 22-12 as they took a 1-0 lead.
- Edgewood College hung tough in set two. They kept on Benedictine's heels and never trailed by more than three points through most of the set. A 5-1 run from Benedictine after they led 16-15 pushed the home squad ahead 21-16 on route to a 25-20 victory.
- Benedictine launched ahead 15-4 in set three as they claimed a strong sweep in conference action.
- Benedictine outhit Edgewood College .270-to-.071. They had a 7-to-1 advantage in aces.
- Christ Radomski swung for 15 kills. Spencer VanEngen fueled the Benedictine offense with 31 assists.
- Cooper Armstrong earned four aces. Eoin O'Toole held the fort at the net with five blocks.

Will Gehrke tallied 22 assists and nine digs.

Ryder Hill-Zastrow led Edgewood College with three blocks.
Jack Mullane posted eight digs.

Edgewood College will return to the Todd Wehr Edgedome for the first of back-to-back home NACC matches. They'll take on the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors Thursday. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
