RIVER FOREST, ILL. – Men's Basketball looked to finish the 2024-25 season on a high note Wednesday. They hit the road to take on the Dominican Stars in NACC action. The Eagles (5-20, 4-14 NACC) earned a 93-91 victory over the Stars (7-17, 4-13).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first five minutes were all Edgewood College as they led 12-3 at 14:12. They would maintain their lead, but the Stars struck. Dominican went on a 18-7 burst starting at 11:56 as their three-pointers began to land to tie the game at 28-all. Edgewood College would nurse a single possession lead, but the Stars would head to the lockers up 44-42.
- The squads would wrestle over one possession leads for most of the first half, but the Eagles put together eight unanswered with a pair of threes for a 64-55 advantage at 13:18. Dominican evened the game with nine unanswered as the two teams sat tied at 64 with 8:08 left.
- After the two teams sat tied at 70-all, six unanswered with a pair of steals pushed Edgewood College up 76-70 with 5:10 left. The remaining minutes were a frenzy of points, but the Stars would never regain the lead as the Eagles held them off for a 93-91 victory in their season finale.
- Edgewood College held a critical 13-to-4 edge in points off of turnovers.
- Four Eagles tallied double-digit points.
Trent Tousana and
Matt Kirk tied for the team lead with 23 points.

Drew Houtakker finished with 12 points.

Hunter Hardyman did a bit of everything. He posted an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double with four blocks and three assists.
- Four Stars finished with double-digit points. Terrell Taylor tied for the match lead with 13 points.

- Tousana's 23 points were a career best.
- Kirk has scored 20 or more points in back-to-back games.
- The 93 points were the most Edgewood College scored in the 2024-25 season.
