Eagles Women's Bowling Preview

Edgewood University Women's Bowling kicks off their inaugural season this weekend in Rockford, Ill. at the Warhawk Classic. Under head coach Kylie Wright, the program looks to grow and establish itself as it plays through the 2025-26 season.

“We are incredibly excited to kick off our inaugural season,” said head coach Wright. "This is a special group of student-athletes who are laying the foundation for our program. Every practice and match is a step forward to building the future of women's bowling at Edgewood University."

Women's Bowling Schedule

The Eagles are set to play in eight events in their first season of competition. After kicking things off at the Warhawk Classic Friday, they'll travel to Bettendorf, Iowa to take on Augustana on Saturday, October 18. They'll return to Iowa on Saturday, November 1 to take part in the Five Seasons Classic before wrapping up the fall with the McKendree Matchgames starting on Saturday, November 22.

After the winter break, they'll take on Augustana once more on Saturday, January 17. They'll continue to battle in Iowa at the Cedar Valley Invite on Sunday, February 1 and the Kohawk Invitational starting on Saturday, February 7. They will conclude their 2025-26 slate with the Viking Classic on Saturday, February 14.

"Women's Bowling is extremely strong across the country. We are fortunate to be able to face such established and talented programs. We're focusing on growing, learning how to battle through matches, and we're embracing the process fully."

Kylie Wright
Kylie Wright enters her first season heading the Women's Bowling program. She is a former UW-Whitewater assistant coach and a USBC Bronze Level Certified Coach. She played for the UW-Whitewater Women's Bowling program from 2018-2022, serving as team captain and a member of a squad that finished No. 3 in the nation

I tell the girls often that there is something so special about being part of the first women's bowling team in Edgewood University history. Our athletes have the opportunity to step into roles that they might not have had elsewhere and they're taking full advantage of the opportunities we've been given so far.
