Konde Gwo’s hat trick lifts Eagles past UW-Stout

VERONA, Wis. – The 2024 edition of the Edgewood College men's soccer team can score, and on Sunday night at Edgewood College Field they scored in bunches. The Eagles have now scored 19 goals in the past three days, including today's 9-0 blowout of UW-Stout. The Eagles scored five times in the second half to run away with the victory and improve to 3-1-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (3-1-1) wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, as Miguel Konde Gwo netted the first goal just three minutes into action, assisted by Connor Gage.

- Riley Stevens found the back of the net for the first time as an Eagle in the 8th minute to take a 2-0 lead early on.

- Konde Gwo added to this goal total in the 18th minute, scoring on a pass from Brandon Kaup.

- Connor Gage added to the scoring total in the 26th minute, to give the Eagles a 4-0 lead into halftime.

- Stevens netted his second goal, again assisted by Konde Gwo in the 54th minute.

- The sixth goal was sweet, as Konde Gwo completed the hat trick.

- Three new goal scorers found the back of the net for the Eagles final three goals. Jovan Dennison, Casey Walton, and Max Meszaros scored in the final 11 minutes for Edgewood College. 

UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will travel to Marquette University on Thursday for an exhibition. Action is set for 7:00 p.m. from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
