MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's soccer hung tough in a battle at MSOE on Saturday afternoon. The Raiders handed the Eagles their second NACC loss of the season in a 2-1 final. Rylee Brotz scored the Eagles lone goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Edgewood College (5-2-1, 0-2-0 NACC) defense was put to work on Saturday, holding MSOE to just one goal through the first 45 minutes of action.
- Claire Bradford put MSOE (5-3-0, 1-0-0 NACC) on the board in the 15th minute. Bradford's goal assisted by Grace Quinn.
- The Eagles responded with the third goal of the season from Brotz in the 31st minute.
- Edgewood College and MSOE went into the locker room at halftime tied at one a piece. The Raiders led the Eagles 8-2 in shots after the first 45 minutes.
- Edgewood College only managed three shots in the final 45 minutes.
- The Raiders took a 2-1 lead in the 61st minute as Addison Spilman scored her first goal of the season.
- Emma Swenson tied her career-best saves mark at eight on Saturday.
- Brotz took three shots for the Eagles, two of her shots were on goal.
