MADISON- Men's basketball wrapped up their 2024 home slate Wednesday night at the Todd Wehr Edgedome. They faced off with the Marian Sabres in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action. The Sabres (10-0, 4-0 NACC) remained undefeated with an impressive 72-45 victory over the Eagles (2-8, 1-3).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College kept pace with Marian early, trailing 8-6 at 15:06. The Sabres would control the next five with a 10-2 run punctuated by back-to-back threes. While two three-pointers in a row from
Trent Tousana would bring the lead back within single digits at 4:22, Marrian would rattle off eight unanswered points to help them lead 38-25 at half.

- The Eagles struggled to make headway into their deficit in the second half. After leading 54-41 at 9:56, the Sabres would explode for a 15-3 run to hold a commanding 69-44 advantage at 2:43 on route to staying perfect on the year.

- Marian dominated the boards and the paint. They held 39-to-21 and 48-to-24 advantages in rebounding and points in the paint respectively.

- Eli Vogel paced all scorers with 20 for the visitors. Sam Gingras and Andrew Ayeni had 12 and 11 points respectively.

- Alex Vassilakis had nine points and 10 rebounds.

- Tousana led all Edgewood College scorers with 11 points. He shot four-of-seven from the field.

Drew Houtakker finished with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
