VERONA, Wis. – With 20 minutes remaining it looked like a scoreless battle between Edgewood College and Aurora University would be headed into overtime to decide who would advance to the NACC Tournament Championship on Saturday. The Spartans attack broke through in the 85th minute to take the NACC Tournament Semifinal 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The fourth-seeded Aurora University (11-5-4) did what nobody else has done this season, in defeating Edgewood College (17-2-2) at Edgewood College Field in the 2024 season. The Spartans late goal gave them a 1-0 final over the Eagles to advance to the NACC Tournament Championship.

- Carlos Viayra was the goal scorer for the Spartans, with Jaziel Enriquez recording the assist.

- Spartans goalkeeper Antonio Herrera kept things close, making four saves on the evening.

- The Eagles has many opportunities, taking 20 shots on the evening. Shots from Evan Thom and Riley Stevens down the stretch couldn't find the back of the net on Wednsday evening.

- The Eagles end their historic season at home in the NACC Tournament Semifinal for the seventh time in the NACC era. It was the first time in program history the Eagles hosted the Semifinal round of the NACC Tournament.
