MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Edgewood College Eagles opened Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) play on Friday afternoon against the Alverno Inferno. The Eagles (1-2) opened conference play in strong fashion. They defeated the Inferno (0-1) with a final of 9-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Jewel Lindwall/
Maddy Coopmans, and
Christina Ekkela/
Cassie Henderson all won 8-0 affairs in doubles.
- The Eagles continued to roll through singles. Lindwall won 6-1, 6-0 as the top player in singles, while
Ellie Murphy followed up with an identical margin as the no. 2 player. Coopmans, Ekkela, Henderson, and
Madelyn Connaughty all tallied 6-0, 6-0 victories in their respective singles matches to wrap up the 9-0 victory.

- The Eagles have won seven in a row over the Inferno with 9-0 final tallies. Their last eight wins in conference play have been by 9-0 finals.
- Edgewood College leads the all-time series 16-0 over Alverno.
- The Eagles showcased their depth in the victory, as all eight players participated in the win.
