VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's soccer team faced a tough test in MSOE on Saturday afternoon. The Raiders handed the Eagles their second NACC loss of the season in a 2-0 final. MSOE scored both of their goals in the final 45 minutes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Edgewood College (2-3-1, 0-2-0 NACC) defense battled hard on Saturday afternoon, as MSOE (6-0-2, 2-0-0 NACC) controlled the attack for most of the contest. The score remained tied at zero going into the second half of action.
- Emma Halverson netted the Raiders first goal in the 56th minute. The score would remain 1-0 until the final minute, when Elizabeth Kuhn found the back of the net, assisted by Leena Afifi.
- Edgewood College was outshot 23-5 by the Raiders. The Eagles put four of their five shots on goal.
- Hailey Hartel made seven saves in goal for the Eagles. Reagan Tompkins and Megan Lacina split time in net for the Raiders. Lacine recorded four saves.
