Year in Review: Women's Golf

The Edgewood College women's golf team competed in their first year under head coach Josh Hentrich in 2022-23. The Eagles put together a strong schedule in the fall, competing in six events including the two-round Marian University Invite and the four-round NACC Championships. The Eagles also hosted the Edgewood College Invite at Yahara Hills G.C., in which they finished second of three teams.

Braxton Brown and Claire Frankiewicz represented the women's golf program as 2022-23 NACC Scholar-Athletes.

Home Invite

 

On Sunday, September 4, 2022, the Eagles hosted MSOE and Alverno in the Edgewood College Invite. Through 18 holes at Yahara Hills G.C. in Madison, the Eagles recorded a team score of 452 and finished in second place behind MSOE. Braxton Brown led the Eagles with an 89 and second place finish. Stella Ruffalo recorded her second collegiate round, carding a 105 and finishing sixth. Claire Frankiewicz notched a 120, good for ninth place. Nadia Marshall rounded out the pack with a 144. 

Spring PB's

 

Brown and Ruffalo competed for the Eagles in three 2023 spring events. Ruffalo carded her career-low round at the Benedictine Spring Invite. The freshman notched a 94, tying for 27th place in the event. Brown would follow that up with her own personal best performance at the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling. Brown opened the meet with a career-low 86, doing so with six pars. She closed the meet with a 90 on day two and finished 33rd in the field.
