CLERMONT, Fla. – The Edgewood College Softball team dropped a 3-0 contest against North Park on Tuesday evening. The loss drops the Eagles to 1-3 on their Florida trip with four more games to go until they return home.

- Edgewood College (5-7) totaled seven hits in the game, but couldn't push any runs across the board. The Eagles best chance came in the top of the third when they loaded the bases, but the Vikings' (4-2) Alli Patrick worked out of trouble be getting a lineout to end the inning.
- North Park scored once each in the second, fourth, and sixth innings. Alyssa Malicki belted a solo home run in the second to give the Vikings the lead, while Patrick roped an RBI double in the fourth inning. A sacrifice fly from Dillen Eagle provided an insurance run in the sixth.

Kya Loffswold paced the Eagles at the plate with two hits. Both
Jenna Sanchez and
Aryiah Schuh recorded stolen bases in the setback.

Lauren Ludvigsen got the start for the Eagles and delivered five innings, allowing three runs.
Elizabeth Malarski entered the game with the bases loaded and nobody out in the sixth and was able to work out of it with just allowing one run (charged to Ludvigsen).
- Patrick paced the Vikings at the plate as well with two hits. Malicki scored two of the games' three runs.
UP NEXT
- The Eagles will play two games tomorrow in Florida, the first at 11:30 a.m. eastern against Curry. Edgewood College will then take on Roger Williams immediately following the first game.
