VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team picked up a Senior Day win on Friday, defeating Lakeland University by a 1-0 score. The Eagles goal was scored off a free kick by
Siobhan Gallagher in the 79th minute.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (3-2-0, 3-2-0 NACC) controlled possession throughout the game with a 27-7 edge in shots. It was the shot off Gallagher's free kick in the 79th minute that proved to be the difference as she placed it perfectly in the top-left corner of the goal.

Grace Wildeboer, one of three seniors celebrated on Friday, secured her third shutout of the season with three saves. All three of her saves came in the second half.
- The Eagles totaled 27 shots, 13 in the first half and 14 after halftime. Six of Lakeland's seven shots came in the second half. Edgewood College also had a decisive 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Mandy Fitzgerald led all players with eight shots, two of those on goal.
SENIORS
- Wildeboer,
Aubrey Tarmann, and
Anja Von Klopp were celebrated before the match. Tarmann finished the match with three shots, two on goal, and Von Klopp tallied four shots.
- The seniors have represented the Eagles well over their careers and it was a great celebration honoring their time at Edgewood College.

- Edgewood College will visit Wisconsin Lutheran College next Sunday at 5 p.m. The Eagles defeated the Warriors in the season opener, 2-0, and will look for the season sweep on April 11.
