Eagles Secure Senior Day Shutout Win Over Muskies

VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team picked up a Senior Day win on Friday, defeating Lakeland University by a 1-0 score. The Eagles goal was scored off a free kick by Siobhan Gallagher in the 79th minute.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (3-2-0, 3-2-0 NACC) controlled possession throughout the game with a 27-7 edge in shots. It was the shot off Gallagher's free kick in the 79th minute that proved to be the difference as she placed it perfectly in the top-left corner of the goal.

- Grace Wildeboer, one of three seniors celebrated on Friday, secured her third shutout of the season with three saves. All three of her saves came in the second half.

- The Eagles totaled 27 shots, 13 in the first half and 14 after halftime. Six of Lakeland's seven shots came in the second half. Edgewood College also had a decisive 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.

- Mandy Fitzgerald led all players with eight shots, two of those on goal.

SENIORS
- Wildeboer, Aubrey Tarmann, and Anja Von Klopp were celebrated before the match. Tarmann finished the match with three shots, two on goal, and Von Klopp tallied four shots.

- The seniors have represented the Eagles well over their careers and it was a great celebration honoring their time at Edgewood College.
