MADISON, Wis. – Senior
Jacob Miller scored a career-high 15 points in his final game in an Eagles uniform as the Edgewood College Men's Basketball team wrapped up its 2019-20 season at home against Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday. The Warriors came back in the second half for an 86-81 win, ending the Eagles season at 8-17.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miller came out of the gates strong and scored 13 of his 15 points in the first half. He buried a 3-pointer on the Eagles first possession of the game as well.
- Miller and
Caleb Holzman led the way in the first half, each player scoring 13 points to give the Eagles a 42-35 halftime advantage.
- The Warriors came out strong in the second half and opened with an 11-2 run to take a 46-44 lead. With the game tied at 56-56 midway through the second half, WLC posted another run, this time a 14-7 stretch, to go up 70-63 with just over seven minutes left. The Eagles wouldn't get closer than four the rest of the way, as the Warriors picked up the win, which also netted them a share of the NACC Championships.
- Miller finished 6-for-12 from the floor, making a pair of 3-point baskets en route to his career-high 15 points. He added five rebounds for the Eagles.

Jake Negus, who was honored before the game as well for reaching 1,000 career points earlier this season, led the Eagles with 23 points, doing much of his damage in the second half. Negus shot 8-for-14 and added a 7-for-9 performance from the line.
THE OPPOSITION
- Andrew Bruggink showed why he is the top scorer in the NACC with a 26-point effort the lead Wisconsin Lutheran College. Matty Farner added a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds for the Warriors.
SEASON
- The Eagles posted an 8-17 record in 2019-20 and finished 7-13 in the NACC.
