WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Tennis team faced a difficult test in UW-Whitewater in their final non-conference match before next weekend's NACC Tournament. The Eagles fell, 9-0, Monday and will now turn their attention to the league tournament where they will be the No. 1 seed.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles (19-7) started the day by falling in all three doubles matches. The closes of those came at No. 3 doubles, an 8-3 setback for
Marissa Wilson and
Jaclyn Swift.
- In singles play the Warhawks continued to control the match with six wins for the 9-0 final. Both
Kai Heineman and
Alicia Picard picked up four games in one of their sets, each in their second sets at No. 3 and 4 singles, respectively.
UP NEXT
- The Eagles will turn their focus to the NACC Tournament which is set to begin next week. As the No. 1 seed, Edgewood College will face whoever is the lowest remaining seed in the NACC Semifinals next Sunday, May 5 at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison.
