MILWAUKEE – Four players finished in double-figures as the Edgewood College Women's Basketball team used a balanced attack to take down Alverno College, 69-41, Saturday night in NACC play. The win was the fifth straight for the Eagles, the first such streak for the program since the 2012-13 season.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Abby Shane led the four Eagles players in double figures with a game-high 16 points. Shane made four 3-pointers in the win, connecting on 50 percent of her attempts from deep. Joining Shane in double figures was
Diamond Pikulyk (12),
Lexi Walter (10), and
Alyssa Lemirande (10).
- Lemirande continued her impressive stretch adding a career-best 12 assists to her 10-point effort. It was the second time an Eagles player recorded 12 assists in a game this season,
Brooke Lonigro doing so in a win at Rockford in December. The 12 assists is tied for fourth all time on the Eagles single-game records list.
- The Eagles led 8-7 with 4:05 left in the opening quarter before posting a 9-0 run to close the first.
Maryn Ferron delivered a 3-point make during the run, helping Edgewood College take a 10-point lead after 10 minutes of play.
- Edgewood College (13-7, 10-5 NACC) extend its lead to 14 at the half and pulled away in the third quarter. The Eagles would lead by a game-best 30 points with 3:08 remaining in the contest before posting the 28-point victory.
- For the second-straight game and third time over the past four, the Eagles shot better than 50 percent from the floor. Edgewood College was 31-for-61 (50.8 percent) on Saturday night. The Eagles have four games this season shooting over 50 percent, all four coming in January.
- Led by Lemirande's 12 assists, the Eagles finished the game with 23 dimes on Saturday. Edgewood College has tallied 20-plus assists during each game of the winning streak and has eight total games with 20-plus helpers this year.

- The last Eagles five-game winning streak January 2-12, 2013. That streak also started with a win over Marian.
